Using CX 11.2 on Linux

  • The installer fails. It appears to extract several install files and errors out whenever it starts the SmartConsoleWrapper.msi.

  • Since the installer is able to extract the files to the %TEMP% folder in Windows, I copied them over and ran the SmartConsole.exe installation file directly.

  • Object manipulation and policy installation works well.

  • Icons lack the same color depth compared to running in Windows.

  • I had to force the msvcrt library to run as (builtin,native) before it would properly load my rulebase.

.net 2 and .net 2.0 SP2 were installed, along with MSVC++ 6.0.
