Where is the support???

I have asked before.... How can I get this game to work on my Mac??? I asked for a detailed step by step method, and got NO DAM response from anyone.... If something is rated "GOLD" only in the linux, then it should have a different rating as to it working under Mac's when NO ONE SEEMS to be able to get this program to work on a BLOODY Mac!!!

I am probably not the only person who has purchased Crossover Pro/Games for the Mac have pulling our hair out, or beating our heads against the wall with the program under the premiss that it works with the games that have been given the "GOLD".... Sheesh! I know that this is subjective by those who rate it, but.... There needs to be a reference point.... Gold on which platform would help.... Cause I sure has heck am not a guru with tweaking this program to get it to work good, that why we have this forum and the tips and tricks section... BUT!!!! NOTHING!!! NADA!!! Is written on how to get this game to work....

Hi,

Might I remind you that the forum audience here includes folks who do not appreciate
the use of such language (and a good many of those are parents with children who also
use/read this site) - there is no need to be so...belligerent...with your postings.

If you click on 'Show Medal Breakdown' on the main page, this position is pretty clear
to me - the gold medal came from Brandon B. (Caedis), and he's taken the time to post
a little howto in the forum here;

You would need do the same thing on the Mac more or less, some setup parts might differ
depending on the model Mac you have, and then again it might not run at all on the model
Mac you have...{shrug}...Mac's are like that -- I have quite a number of games that work
with Crossover Games in linux but not on my iMac, but at any rate your best bet is to
follow the advice in the above thread using 9.2.0 and see what happens (at present, it
doesn't look like anyone's ranked/tried it in 9.2 at all).

Cheers!

So, instead of helping me, I get berated for using a few words that are basically tame in comparison, also, I am NOT a guru like you seem to be, I don't know freaking Linux, and I don't see how a "GOLD" rating by a Linux user equals that of a Mac user of Crossover Games. You have allot of people who has purchase this program, thinking that it will work with their Macs to play Windows based games.... I am a Freaking Customer who purchased this product in good faith that what its rated for, it works.... the Rating system is sort of misleading... Why? Because.... If it works on a Linux box, but... NOT on a Mac box... It should be rated for Linux ONLY!! or for Mac ONLY... or if it works on Both then so be it. Change the symbols to reflect that ....

You claim I was belligerent.... Well??? In my opinion you are also .... Saying that I am belligerent cause I didn't and DON'T get support, I meant it.... As a business who sells a product, who doesn't give good tech support to their customers are all going to be out of jobs when it is spread out that tech support suxs (oh my what language?) for your product.... This is assuming that you represent the company in your posting. I have read in several places where customers are having the same problem with this programs tech support .... Granted I understand that not all programs will work.... BUT!!! Rating it "Gold" gives a false impression cause for the reasons stated....

Big HAIRY deal!!! Its a bogus and bias on his opinion and doesn't reflect other facts....nor on the majority of votes....

How??? Does a Linux OS, equal that of a Mac's OS, granted they both us a Unix core, but.... they are NOT THE SAME Operating System.... How about a step by step for a Mac OS???? Remember allot of your users are NOT as good as you are, in making things work... We are NOT GURUs like you. I have tried several ways to get programs to work on a Mac, and come here to these forums for help, NOT to be freaking BERATED!! ... So unless you can help me, then it was better not to leave a post.... Don, thanks for NOT HELPING!!

I repeat.... I am a customer, and I have notice there is a lack of "SUPPORT" for those who know how to tweak this program to get it to work...and the rating system needs to be revisited, since there seems to be programs that work only on Linux and some that work only on Macs, some both.... I for one still haven't been able to get Fallout 3 to work.... while... I have seen some who have said that it works on theirs....

Only time I really get upset is when I am given a freaking run around, like this post is.... I apologize for using the words...DAM, heck, Bloody, Freaking...etc...No one here has the right to tell me this, Not you DON!! I don't give a rats behind who you are or what you think, unless you can help me solve the problem... otherwise ....Shut the Heck up....

Many thanks to Don for first responding. Locking the post... no need to rant. It looks like you've submitted a ticket in the past when you've had trouble with CrossOver and we answered your questions (you had trouble with registration) very quickly. Unfortunately, there is no support ticket regarding this issue.

I have seen where you've responded in the other thread, asking how to do the same steps on the Mac and I'll add a walk through there.

Please, in the future, feel free to ask and send in a support ticket if you have difficulty with CrossOver or an application you're installing in it. If you don't know how to open a support ticket, send an email to info@codeweavers.com.
