Installs fine, but I can't get it to run with Crosstie on Linux (solved)

Used the crosstie to install IE7, Arial etc. Got the game launcher running and patched up to the latest version (the launcher flashes a lot, but it works). Once I got past that I ended up with a black screen and nothing else.

Restarted the machine, ran the game from the Applications menu. Launcher runs fine, I can log in to my Champions account, so I do that and hit Play. The cursor changes to the Champions cursor and I get some blurry text on a black screen. And that's it - doesn't get to the login screen.

Currently running on Ubuntu 10.10 with an Intel G31 graphics chipset (I know it's rubbish for this game, but the nvidia card is still on the way).

Any clues or suggestions as to what to do?

OK, I threw in an nVidia card, and what do you know? It all works. And works extremely well so far. I'm very impressed!

So for future reference: doesn't seem to work with with Intel graphics. Does work with nVidia.
