Hi Nolan,
Thanks for the tips&tricks update! I've duly given you the credit
for the extra input -- it's often a good idea to do that yourself
when editing a t&p...after all, it is your work and you deserve the
credit - it also helps the Ninjas track which advocates are 'active'
or not 8)
Also, I'm seeking your input regarding the c4p profile - c4p can't yet
handle the patching business (based on locale), but as you point out
in the other thread, there's locale specific pre-patched versions out
there. That much, c4p can currently do...ie; check the locale of the
user's computer setup, and download/install a different (prepatched)
version to suit....what do you think about this?
Cheers!
I think it would be worth the time. A Spanish patch exists, we already know of the English patch, and the game is originally in Japanese, and all of these languages have corresponding CrossOver resellers.
I think it would be awesome if the C4P would install the game in a different language depending on the user's locale.
We can host prepatched versions in mediafire or whatever (considering this is freeware).
There should be some notice, somewhere, about this. Maybe in the C4P's description field?
Hi,
The post patching business will likely need wait until the next
C4P release -- including multiple pre-patched version that get
installed on a per locale basis we can do. As for hosting any files,
freeware or not one would need check any license so attached, or
at least ask the authors of the software/language patches if it's
alright to do so -- this might be putting the cart before the horse
though, as -eventually- C4P will be able to post patch the original
version installation dependent on locale (and if a patch exists for
that locale)...
Cheers!
