Testing with the beta of rc1 C1DSLR 3.5 SE behaves a little differently, mostly better.
In order to do the install you need to set the global windows version to winxp else the installer exits after its version check. You can restore the global default to win98 afterwards (or whatever).
The dll overrides are no longer needed, but you do need the windows version override as winxp. I couldn't get it to run using win2k.
I also found that I need "Desktop" override to run it within a managed window although it doesn't seem to mind whether the window is managed or not once you've set the Desktop override.
Colour management seems to be coming on. It is now possible to select at least some of the colour profiles and the destination colour space in the colour management dialogue.
Unfortunately the "unable to create output link" error still remains and consequently it is not possible to develop images yet.
I also found the UI very sluggish, it feels as though the background threads are consuming all the CPU cycles leaving none for the UI.
Overall two steps forward and one back. Keep up the good work and I really hope to see this application running under linux one of these days.
David.
