Which version is the recommended download version; I can download from:

GameStop
Steam

Well, I don't really know, but as far as I know, it requires steam anyways, no matter where you buy / download it. So I would buy it from steam. Personally, I bought the dvd version (since I got that cheap), and just registered the dvd key in steam, and even downloaded it from steam, even when that took some time 😊
