Black Ops

So I originally ran this game in Parallels and W7, but was unable to get into a Zombie game, which is the entire reason I bought the game in the first place.

I just installed it via Crossover on my i7 iMac and it works. The loading screen has a little halt like it's not going to work, but 'unstalls' and continues. There is a screen that serves as the main menu of the game, and every time I have run it so far, (except the first) that screen is blank (it was there the very first time, just pixelated and half of the letters were missing, but very readable), but after changing the resolution in the settings menu, it works fine. I have only played the zombie maps on this game, and I assume I will finally pick the right resolution where the menu is visible. The Steam Cloud doesn't appear to be working again, so I think I will have to play the campaign over again (it's short) so I can get the other zombie map, so I will report back then.

I did notice a few slowdowns in the gameplay, but not 100% sure this is Crossovers fault, as another player made the comment 'laaaggg' so who knows, I'll report back after more testing, just wanted to let folks know that the game will run.

lagging is not crossover's fault. There are thousands of threads on Activision support that talk about poor performance gameplay. Could you please message me if you find a solution to the lagging problem?

The patch is out for the single player, and I am still having the lag problems, it's like the system needs to stop a bit to catch up. I am using Crossover Games 9.2 on an i7 iMac with 8GB of RAM and 10.6.5. Hopefully one of the next releases will help this along, I really want to shoot some zombies in the face :)

I have the exact same issue with the Main Menu screen, but it's only after i change from full-screen to windowd that the Menu becomes a blank. The only work-around i found was changing screen resltn and then back again before i got the Menu visible again.

Zombies works fine for me, which also the ONLY reason i bought the game.

I did notice a sudden lag sometimes when wavering my gun around, happens on occasion and it's a bit frustrating but not SO BAD. Here's my Mac specs:

Mac Pro (mid-2010)
Intel Xeon 3.33GHz 6-core
12GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD5870 1GB gpu
1TBx2 HDD
Mac OS X 10.6.5
CrossOver Games 9.2.0

everything up-to-date on the Steam-side and Mac-side and CxG-side.

I did set graphics to normal. any other tips/suggestions?
