DirectX Encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions

Hello everyone,
I ended up buying a computer off of a friend who had crossover games 10 already installed on it and I recieve this error whenever I try to play an online Black Ops Server, "DirectX Encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions." I have no clue what to do with this error. I have tried to reinstall directx to the steam bottle in which Black ops is installed but it still gives me the error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue, haven't found a solution yet.

Running Mac OS X 10.8.2 on a MacBook Pro 15" Retina.
