CoD4 and Linux Distros

I would like some help with this maybe for new users have more confident on buying this product.

I tested this Game with:

OpenSuSE 11.3 (64bit) and Runs well the first time, but, for some reason after you exit the game and then if you try to do a New or Resume Game. THE GAME LAGS...A LOT...pretty much UNPLAYABLE!.

Ubuntu / Kubuntu 10.10 (64bit) = By using Gnome the game will not run fullscreen. (you can see some of the screenshot for linux) And using KDE (v4.5 was the one I tried) runs with a complete fullscreen. For me the game runs perfectly.
