Screen turn white after intro

Hey,

I use the Crossover Games Version 8.1.4 (Trial) on my MacBook Pro (2.66 Core2Duo, GeForce 9600M GT, with Snow Leo. 10.6.2).

Installation worked, Games starts perfectly and then it turns into a white screen. and the only thing i can see are GUI controls (Compass, Reload.....). On ESC i go back to the menu. When I change the display settings I get an error and have to restart Crossover Games (but the changes i made are saved). I tried to change and turn off Anti-Alaising without effect.

Any Ideas? Don't want to install windows :(

Thanks
Phil

Hi,

Have you tried the tip&trick listed for this game?....see;

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=2710;tips=1

Have you tried the winecfg 'Emulate a virtual desktop' mode as well?

As this game is officially supported, you can also email info@codeweavers.com
regarding this issue, and one of the codeweavers folks will get back to you asap...

Cheers!

Had the same thing once in a beta test. I reinstalled the game in a new bottle and the game worked. Maybe you need also to install the the MS directx redistributable download (deselect hide servicepacks depences in the preferences).

"Emulate a virtual Desktop" didn't solve the problem.

I also tried a new installation in a new bottle with MS Direct X Installation before. Same result.

The game doesn't hang, I can choose the game mode, see the intro and the the game starts - I see the first picture (Table with gun an amo) people, environment,.. when they start to move or I turn around the textures go into white until the full screen is white. I still can shoot, move around, see the compass.... but on a white screen. It's some graphics-failure.

It's the unsopported non-steam version ☹️
