Updated on the Windows XP Laptop and transfered over all the updated files, overwrote and ran Cabal again. It wanted to update for no reason and didn't give me the "new" updater screen. Important note: REQ. Intel-based Macintosh system running Mac OS X (note: CrossOver Games will not run on PowerPC systems) (for crossover Requirement)

Taking THAT info (that i didn't read prior) I assume this is why it maybe not working. Im on an AMD system, not an Intel-based system. They really should add AMD compatibility to Crossover, would be a lot more people using it.

So - final result, it may work on an Intel system, but don't bother on an AMD, it wont run properly.

Well, we refer to "Intel-based" Macs because that's all that Apple makes. It really means machines with an x86 compatible processor. CrossOver has no known incompatibilities with AMD processors.

That said, you are evidently running a "hackintosh", for which we don't provide support. We don't know if those work. Basically, if the OS vendor isn't willing to certify the OS for the platform, then we can't certify our software for it because we depend on the OS.

It may be that CABAL works no better on a real Mac. Or maybe it does work better. I don't know. But it's probably not the actual CPU that's at issue.
