I am using the Steam version, Crossover Games 9.2, OS 10.5.6 an i7 iMac with 8GB RAM and an Radeon 5750 an am unable to get past what I think is the Criterion website screen, which is what I think I remember it being from the PS3 version. Everything else seems to work fine, but those are just the menus :) Any help? here is a screen shot of what I get, it was fullscreen previously:

I am also having this issue except on linux any help would be appreciated :)

I just grabbed it as well on special, but it's still downloading
so it'll be later before I have a chance to check it out - and I
have both OSX and linux machines here. The entry over at WineHQ
would suggest a need for vrun2005....see;

Update:

M'kay....it's a bit strange on linux....if you leave emulated desktop OFF,
run the game configuration part, then start the game, you can create a new
account and stuff...but after logging in, I too get the whitescreen thang
happening which, here, will eventually crash (takes a minute or two). If
one turns emulated desktop ON, re-run the configuration part, and then start
the game, it doesn't seem to recognize keyboard input (but backspace, enter &
esc still work)...which is a bit weird. There's also supposed to be a control
->options menu somewhere, but I can't find it (which is ugly, 'coz I can't
configure my xbox controller without that menu)....

....this is to say, I can run it here in single player no problem - in fact,
it actually runs quite well....but then, trying to quit the game seems nigh on
impossible, because I cannot see/find the exit/quit game menu item...it might
be hiding with the control options menu....anyone know where these things are? :)

I've not tried it on the iMac yet....but I think I'm going to see the whitescreen
there too if I try to go online with the game....more later...

I managed to pull a meaningful trace from this -- it is actually looking for
internet explorer to display things (when we're seeing the white screen) ;
this fails and it runs headlong into oblivion...

I'ved also buyed the game this weekend (after successfully played the Demo-Version)
The further Menus ingame are very hidden: Try the press F1 several times... every F1 will bring you deeper in the menu-structure of the game -> driver-info -> map & events -> Burnout Network -> Options & Quit

TIP: Within the Network-Menu you can join or open the "Online-Freeburn" which works!
