This C4Pfile will install Borderlands
This game has no cd copy protection, so runs right out of the box.

Important:
Because of a Mousebug, i had to set a registersetting: MouseWarpOverride=force.
Because of this the mouse wont work in the main menu, so you should use the cursor to do all the settings and stuff.
Ingame the mouse works good again.

Another issue is with zooming in. When doing that the background/air becomes black. tried to fix that but, didnt really work out.

For the rest it work good. Didn't test multiplayer.

I have actually gotten the mouse to work both in-game, and in the menus. However, it required compiling Crossover from source. The patch details are here. The important part is, after applying the patch, to set MouseWarpOverride=force-box which allows the player to turn even after the mouse hits the edge of the screen. Hopefully this makes it into the next official build!

Since version 9.0, CrossOver Games has included a hack to enable the value "force_edge" for MouseWarpOverride, which is probably comparable to "force-box" and doesn't require patching our Wine. Give that a try.

Installation via C4P worked when using the Offline Activition by 2K-Games.
When starting up on the Mac (macbook pro, 2.4 ghz) I receive the message, that there is no cd/dvd mounted, even though it is in the drive and is shown on my mac`s desktop.

Any ideas?

Works in 100%. Please add this to the C4P.

i am trying to install borderlands the game of the year edition on my mac desktop but i am having trouble because once the download finishes on steam a window pops up that is asking to activate the mods for the game specifically Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot and The Zombie Island of Dr.Ned but when the activation window pops up it just stops at 30% and doesnt continue and that was without the C4P file
my question is does the C4p file make the game run better and if so how do u use a C4P file with borderlands that i bought on steam?
can anyone help me?

Hi,

You can't use the C4P profile on a Steam install. The only
thing the C4P profile does is to install directx runtime legacy
and implement the mouse registry hack. A Steam installation
routinely installs directx runtime - modern ; you may over install
the legacy version to try (it won't hurt anything), but somehow
I doubt that's your problem.

How do I apply this hack built into the new Crossover? The mouse force drive that is.
