Reasons i gave this game a silver rating

Versions:
Borderlands: Borderlands Game of the Year edition (with the 4 DLC installed)
OS: Ubuntu 11.04
CrossOver Games: 10.1.1

What was tested:
Installing
Playing Single player game

What was not tested:
Multiplayer game
Complete play through

Comments:
Installing works out of the box, mouse fix works out of the box (MouseWarpOverride: force)
Because this is necessary else the mouse will leave the window during the action game (not in the in-game menu's)
Because of the MouseWarpOverride thingy in game menus cannot be used with the mouse, although all menus are accessible with the keyboard.
Sometimes the textures of the scoped weapons aren't loaded (did use an extra override BoxPixels: 5), but this doesn't always work
When a weapon doesn't have a scope and you "zoom in" the color of the background textures get's al weird.
In the in-game "movies" the cartoonish black lines gets screwed up (during game-play everything is OK).

All in all the game runs well and is very playable, but there are some cumbersome glitches which in my opinion ruin the game play, that's why i gave it a silver rating.

In case someone knows how to fix some of the above problems please leave a comment.
Maybe i can then adjust my rating...

...you're actually doing a lot better than folks with the Steam
version currently (which broke with the last Borderlands update),
and hence the 'known not to work' ranking both the normal and GOTY
versions wrt the Steam release...(both here and on WineHQ)...

....I can no longer recall if the mousing business was an artifact
of winebug #6972 or not, but it sure sounds like it -- if that were
the case, it's possibly fixed in ..in.. wine-1.3.21 or better if memory
serves ; crossover is still based on wine-1.3.9 and so we'd need a
wine rev in crossover to make a difference there...

...graphics issues I doubt anyone could comment on, as you've not
indicated which graphics card you have and what drivers are being used...

Cheers!

I have a NVidia Graphics card with the current drivers from the Ubuntu repository.
But on wineHQ there are some people with the same graphical glitches (weapon scope stuff).
So maybe it'll work one day, but for now i can enjoy the game in a respectable level.

P.S I have the gamesrocket version.
