While with previous versions of CrossOver and normal Wine the launcher did not work for me, with CrossOver 12.5.0 the Launcher actually works!
I am impressed, as that means the .NET 4.0 support is getting better. No problems with audio, it runs well through my Asus Xonar DX 7.1. Keyboard and mouse input also seem to be all fine. At this point, dare I say it, I believe it to be very close to the Windows level of playability. Performance is definitely less, but it's getting there.
I also recorded my performance differences between running it in CrossOver 12.5 in Ubuntu 13.04 versus running it in my Windows 8 Pro partition, to visually gauge the difference myself. Here's the video if anyone is interested in seeing how it performs.

The only sad thing for me with CrossOver 12.5 so far is that Tomb Raider 2013 is no longer playable. It worked fine in 12.2.0, but something in 12.5.0 causes it to hang on startup. Then again, I'm going off topic here. Looking forward to seeing the D3D patch being integrated into CrossOver so we can enjoy higher framerates in the coming release :)
