I was surprised to see a rating of "Known not to work" for this game. It's possible that it will fail for me later on in the game. I'm only near the end of level 1. However, I didn't have to do anything special to make this game work for me. I'm running the Mac version of CrossOver Games 8.0.0 though Bookworm Adventures Deluxe also worked in 7.2.2 for me.

The initial animation of the worm chomping on the letter blocks is choppy, but the actual gameplay is quite fluid. After seeing how well it played in CrossOver Games, I purchased it from PopCap.

Unlike other programs that required me to find native DLLs in order to get the program to function, this one was very simple. Hopefully, in time, other PC games will be this easy to install in CrossOver Games.

Hi, I must say that this game works right out of the box. I downloaded it some time ago when I was a WInXP user and gave it a try a couple of weeks ago when I purchased Crossover games. I agree with Bob on the initial animation and should add that pointing the right letters with your mouse is not so straightforward, especially in Moxy's minigame that breaks the adventure every now and then and requires a certain speed to deal with: that's because the hand pointer must be placed exactly on the border of the square that contains the letter, otherwise you get the letter next to it!!
This bug apart, I advocate this game and give it a silver medal. If it wasn't for that small bug it was surely gold.
