As part of the Big Fish Games Manager operations, a service/client process named
bfggameservices.exe is run. This win32 process does not exit when you close the
Big Fish Games Manager. This is expected behavior for bfggameservices.exe ; it's
just not particularly easy for us to deal with in Crossover Games at this time.
To help alleviate problems dealing with bfggameservices.exe, two menu shortcuts
are provided to help you dismiss this process when the need arises. Please read
the following carefully...
Crossover Games Mac
The menu link is named 'Manage Big Fish Games Services Task' -- when you run this
menu item, the builtin cxwine Task Manager program will appear, already opened on
the appropriate 'Processes' tab. Look for the process name bfggameservices.exe in
the list of running tasks and highlight it, then click on End Process.
You will receive a confirmation message which you assert, followed by an error message
about 'invalid file handle' - this is normal. Exit the Task Manager when finished.
Note: Only the 'Manage Big Fish Games Services Task' menu item works in Mac OSX !!
Crossover Games linux
The menu link is named 'Shutdown Big Fish Games Services Task' -- when you run this
menu item, the bfggameservices.exe is quietly killed ; no Task Manager GUI appears as in
the Mac example above.
Note: Both the 'Manage Big Fish Games Services Task' and 'Shutdown Big Fish Games Services
Task' menu items work equally well in linux.
