Guys, i never tried to play it full screen since crossover 7.2.2 but in Crossover 8 and the newest update from battlefield heroes you can play it full screen!!! Now it works as it should, but its still a bit slow...but in lowest resolution and lowest detail its very doable on my macbook 2.0 ghz.

I tried to run it fullscreen at native res, but it didn't work. I'd rather play in a window at a much higher resolution and better graphics than fullscreen with a lower resolution and lower graphics.

I tried running on fullscreen under crossover game 8.1.2 (and 8.0.0) (by not creating a virtual desktop) but unfortunately i got a very annoying bug, once i got in a match the whole screen went black, instead of displaying the loading screen.

Thats right, sinds the last update of battlefield heroes, it broke some things. I don't know what exactly, but also the game menu is broke when returning from a game and you have to restart the game to play another one. And there are some more bugs.The new crossover games isn't really the coz of that. I will try to figure some out shortly.

I noticed that. The whole game screen seems to shift upwards (which means that you can't see the menu buttons or the play now button [windowed mode]).

I haven't noticed anything else.

I noticed a hard performance regression on my side. Maybe because you guys don't notice it if you have better systems. I have the cheapest 2.0 ghz macbook unitbody. I will try a newer firefox version, maybe this will fix the menu issue and if i am lucky the performance. You will hear the results shortly. using 8.1.2

I'm playing with the mid-range unibody macbook pro (2.66GHz; 9600M GT) on medium settings and 1152x870 windowed.
I didn't experience any performance decrease (any i could notice), though the game crashes more often (Battlefieldheroes.exe problem).

I agree that windowed it has better/more performance than when playing full screen. When playing fullscreen, your dead meat because of the lagging (because of 100% cpu usage) when playing windowed you got some more killing chance, it works better, but still the performance for me is not good enough to play it as i like (with bootcamp it works great). But it would be great to play this full screen, maybe in future releases it will become better.

I tried using firefox 3.5, but besides it wont launch before clicking like 1000 times refresh, it has no difference in performance or improvement of the menu when returning from a game. So count that out.

In short, lets hope in future releases this gets better.
