Battlefield 2 Forum

Hello

I just installed Battlefield 2 via CrossTie. It took a long time, but finnaly now, it's running.

The only problem now is that every time, I go online on a server, each time I got kicked with the same message:

"Kicked by Punkbuster. Coudn't inizialise PunkBuster.exe"

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Unfortunately 'punkbuster' does not work in crossover/wine at this time...

Punkbuster seems to work fine for me with CXGames 10.1.1 :)

I've played on some servers without get kicked.
Also the Punk-Buster applications runs in background without any message or crash.

I've only had to update punkbuster of battlefield manually
with the pbsetup tool of http://www.evenbalance.com/

So my Battlefield works like a charm out of the box.
I've don't used die Crosstie.

PS: I also installed patch 1.5 and all existing addons!

Interesting. Which version of Punkbuster did you use? More specifically: for which platform (Windows, Linux, Mac) did you download that tool?
