Does not work under CrossOver Games 10

I used CrossTie to install this on CrossOver Games 10. I installed 1.41 and then 1.50. The game crashes every time I try running it. I have not tried doing this on CrossOver Games 9.2.1, so I don't know if this is a regression or not.

Has anyone managed to get Battlefield 2 running on CrossOver Games 10?

I cannot get this to run under Crossover Games 10 either. Crashes immediately after starting

This being the case, you would need gather a debuglog to find out what's going wrong.
To do that, see the following page ;

http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/SubmitTechSupportLog

If you grab a debuglog with +seh,+trace,+ntdll then gzip the log and upload it to
a free repo (like reapidshare or the like) and post the download URL back here, I can
grab it and see what's going on...

Cheers!

Is this still a problem in CXG-10.1 ? I've just reworked the c4p/crosstie profile

here, and created crosstie profiles for the required patches - there's also a tip&trick
regarding same. During testing, it seemed to be working ok (albeit with minor graphical
glitches). Do be aware that installing other content to this game can require that you
reinstall the official patches -- at least, this is what I see in forums, I only have
the base BF2 installation myself. Let me know if you have any problems...

Cheers!

Yes, it is still an issue.

I can confirm this issue!

I got it running, albeight with the only complaint being needing to run terrain settings in "low" to overcome graphical glitches. Try starting the game in 800x600 virtual desktop mode, the virtual desktop setting being enabled in the default portion of wine, and the hardware acceleration being enabled only on the bf2.exe graphics compatiablity settings....

Also check out the tips and tricks post as it may help you out!

Thanks you Steven...

I will check that out;)

I gave CXG a try with BF2 on a Mac - and was impressed.
I also had the tank issue - but I can live with that.

A more unnerving problem is that all soldiers (enemy and fellow) have a name blue tag!

Any ideas?

J.

It works but I can't see the ground. It is transparent.
