No CD In Drive

Okay I've managed to install BF2142 successfully onto my Mac Book Pro. After the install is completed (which went very smoothly by the way,) and the application begins to load up I am presented with a warning box saying that I need to insert my Battlefield 2142 disc into my drive. Now I know for sure that my disc is in my drive, yet it still keeps on coming up with this warning message. Anyone got any ideas?

This type of thing usually indicates that the game is using a copy protection scheme. CrossOver can not currently run most copy protection schemes properly. The result is what you see: the game fails to recognize the CD in the drive.

Try using a NoCD patch if your desperate =D

This is the same thing that happens when you are running Vista and use Compatability mode for XP.
Would it work if you use a virtual drive?

I also tried different command lines, it doesnt let me open it, even with the original command. i dont know why, but someone else wanna give it a go. i added the same as what is automatically there from Desktop shortcuts on Windows.

+playNow 1 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

on my Windows copy, i used:
+playNow 1 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +eaAccountName ** +eaAccountPassword ** +soldierName ChrisTheDVS1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200

This will auto log into your account and choose selected soldier aswell as a custom resolution. if anyone tries this, let me know how you go. cheers

have you tried this Adam? how do you use a no cd patch with crossover?

Well, from my experience with this game, if you run it in Windows XP using a virtual drive, it gives the same error message. Does CrossOver take the CD drive and make a virtual drive of it?
