Expansion Pack maps don't load

I bought the BF1942 WWII Anthology, which collects the main game and both its expansions (Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII). While I can load the expansions themselves (by selecting them under "Custom Game" from the main menu), I found I cannot load any of the expansion pack maps. No matter which map I select, the game loads the Berlin map – which is usually the behaviour when a map cannot be loaded.

Did anyone else experience the same? Any solutions?

Okay, I can make some more observations: I found that I can play the expansion pack maps when I start the expansions with their respective start menu short cut. (Previously, I launched the expansions in-game, see above.)

Anyway: this only works once. I can load the expansion, play one map, and when I try to play another map, only "Berlin" gets loaded. I can play another map by quitting the game, and repeating the cycle, but there's obviously something broken.

Tonight i will take a look at it. Hold On!

I also submitted 2 Apps to the database:

Expansionpacks:
Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons
Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome

I will make c4p files for that ones too with battlefield 1942 as predependentie.

Ok tell me exactly what you do and which game you load (battlefield 1942, or rome, or weapons). I tested the 3 games played a level of each version, and i dont see problems. So please tell me excactly
what i should do to reproduce the problem.

Important Note: Dont forget before playing, to patch the battlefield 1942 game to 1.6.19 and then to 1.61b!

Let me know. Ow place problems of the games in the right game section:

So Road to Rome here
and Secret Weapons here.

Cheers!

The WWII Anthology contains already the latest version of the game, so no patching required (except for... well, you know).

The problem then is the same for both expansions: I start the expansion (doesn't matter whether I use the appropriate shortcut that takes me directly into the expansion or whether I launch the main game first and then load the expansion by selecting "Custom Game" in the main menu and then choosing one of both expansions). I play any map (usually Single Player > Instant Action) and it works fine. I finish the game (no matter how), try loading another map - and voilà - it's always "Berlin".

Can you take a screenshot of the view with the custum game with the version number behind it? Thanks.

Don't believe when I say that the Anthology needs no patching? You can:

did you patch...well you know..., all three of them? or just battlefield 1942?

All three.

Well then i think there is the problem
I only patched....well you know.... battlefield 1942 and not the other two.

Hm... could be worth a try.

EDIT: Okay, no cake unfortunately. The problem persists.

I will test it again for me...will report later.

Edit:
Ok, this is what i did.....

 1. Installed battlefield 1942
 2. Patched to 1.6.19
 3. Patched to 1.61b
 4. installed Battlefield 1942 Road to Rome
 5. Installed Battlefield 1942 Secret weapons.
 6. patch Battlefield 1942...well...you know...

Maybe there is the issue...that i installed the individual games separately.

No, again: makes no difference for me. I even tried another version of BF 1942 (I also had an older disc without the expansion packs lying around). The problem persists.

Anyway, since I don't often play more than one match in a row, it doesn't matter very much. It's mainly annoying than an actual dealbreaker.

Hi everybody, so I have a problem, I have installed Battlefield 1942, Battlefield The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons in the same bootle.
When I use Crossover to start the game it doesn't work, so, I read your answers about DMR protection but I don't understand what I have to do ?

I looked a video on youtube about this and I conclude that I have to install a pacth ( download on the net) to avoid this protection. But the game doesn't work and the log tell me :
fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100
wine: cannot find L"C:\windows\system32\winefile.exe"

I'm on Macbook 10.6.5 with Crossover Games 9.2 ( and I'm French so I apologize for my english 😀 )
I really like to play Battlefield, and I hope you could help me.

Thanx everyone 😏
