BF 1942 Working in Crossover Games Linux 7.0.0 (with a few small issues)

My setup:
Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron!)
Athlon 64 3700+ 2GB ram nVidia Geforce 6300GT onboard soundcard.
Crossover Games 7.0.0 Linux version, BF1942 bottle setup to use a virtual desktop, ALSA sound

The game installs fine, Patches fine, and runs almost flawlessly.

The only issues I have are as follow, any sound played that is not close by, is sometimes cut of prematurely, not game breaking but slightly annoying. Punkbuster does not work, so for online play you'll have to go to non PB servers, which are open to cheaters. The last issue is that sometimes after you have been playing for some time, the game will just freeze, I just quit it and restart, no biggie.

Afaik PB works if the game in installed in a win98 bottle

Ohh nice. I'd give it a try, but I only installed it so my kids can have a play. Nice information for future reference though. Thanks!
