No interface elements (no hotbar, no loot window, no inventory, ...) are visible during gameplay (22.1.1 on mac on m2) [not F10

Hi,
I managed to start the game (calling the exe without steam :: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/tips/baldurs-gate-3/launching-the-steam-version-gog-and-others-similar-on-mac)
but in game, no interface elements (no hotbar, no loot window, no inventory, ...) are visible during gameplay. :(
Note that I am NOT in photo mode -- I tried toggling F10

any trick I missed to make the game playable?

(22.1.1 on mac on m2)

I can understand wanting to play BG3 using CrossOver until the game release for Mac on September 6th. Unfortunately I don't have a solution: for me the game doesn't even load character models or any graphics other than the background. If you get more than this, but not the interface, perhaps try plugging in a controller? Maybe that interface will display?

I was able to get this far also. In addition to launching the DX11 exe directly, I also had to disable DXVK and CSMT in Crossover.

The action bar is still there if you click around where it is supposed to be, but it's far from usable.

And unfortunately this is the case for Crossover 23 betas as well. I guess we just have to wait til September 6 (for the BG3 Mac release.)

EXCITING UPDATE: Here's how I got Baldur's Gate 3 working without restriction--

Obivously, I don't know if these are the only steps that work or if they're all necessary but they're the ones I did and the game launched and was fully playable:

  1. Download CrossOver23
  2. Delete the bottle you were previously using for Baldur's Gate 3.
  3. Create a new bottle and reinstall Steam.
  4. Using Steam, download Baldur's Gate 3 all over again.
  5. Quit Steam, close and then reopen CrossOver23
  6. Set your bottle's ADVANCED SETTINGS to:
    • DXVK off
    • ESync on
    • High Resolution Mode off
  7. Under BOTTLE ACTIONS, click "Open C: Drive"
  8. Navigate through the folders "Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Baldurs Gate 3 -> bin -> bg3_dx11.exe"
  9. launch bg3_dx11.exe

Hope this helps. The game then worked without any noticeable issue. The UI was fully visible, I was able to create and load game saves, rebind keys, etc.

I was using:
16-inch 2021 MacBook Pro
32gb M1 Max
Ventura 13.5

wow. skippped all and launched with crossover 23 -- works so far

Same here....

Upgraded to latest generally available version of CrossOver (23.0 as of a couple days ago)
Disable DXVK in Steam bottle
Enable ESync in Steam bottle
Disable Hi Res Mode in Steam bottle

Execute the Dx11 exe using CrossOver "Open C:.." action

Starting my play-thru now. Everything looks like you'd expect UI wise so far.

2023 16" MBP
M2 MAX / 12 CPU / 38 GPU / 32GB RAM
Ventura 13.5

after playing a bit there are some magic particle effects that dont work right... e.g. when someone shoots a magic acid arror at you SOMETIMES texture is off and you see black there. the game totally freezes then... but the interface is always there now
