Progress up to becoming advocate:

Ok, I have managed to install autocad, I just used the standard cxoffice setup, and it installed ok on the second attempt. The problem that I then had was when I tried to run the program, it couldn't find the dll file "aclst16.dll". By all accounts, this file doesn't even exist on systems running windows where it works perfectly, so I'm going to have to look more closely into this matter. I am going to try a third install, but as yet have not. My aim is to get this working, since I need AutoCAD for my coursework. As soon as I have further information, I will post it here.

[update]I have found that I was just spelling it wrong in the search, see the tips and tricks section for further info :)[/update]
