Autocad 2004 and Crossover office 5.0.1 standard Deemo

Hi,

I am a Linux frustrated user who has been trying to install AutoCad 2004 since last year with Wine application. Never had a point to install it.

Now, I am trying again crossover office standard because I see users like you having installed it.
Why am I not able to do the same?

I use Gentoo distro.

This is what I did so far:
1) Downloaded the install.....sh file.
2) run sh install....sh which installed the application under /home/.cxoffice
3) Installed Internet Explorer 6.1 SP1 with win98 profile.
4) Installed autocad, and had all sort of issues. The latest one is that after I point the setup to BIN/ACADFEUI/SETUP.EXE it starts and gets this error: Internal Error:2735. InitAll Properties

Keep in mind that my gentoo interface is in English and my AutoCad is in italian.

Does it have to do with profiles?
Please adivce me because it is a pitty that I must use windows to run just this application.

Moreover, with internet explorer I am not able to get sound to play. Is this normal? I use alsa but noticed that in settings I have oss selected. Any howto to switch to alsa so I can make it work?

thank you for your help,
Spiro

PS: I also have an output of the installation. What should I do with it?

CrossOver Office has an automatic system to install applications, even if they are unsupported, then if you have a installation CD, you just need to insert in the cd-rom unit and select from the source in the Wizard (see the documentation of CrossOver Office, the process is the same for the supported applications).

If all right you'll see the application to begin the installation of autocad, in a link, you don't need to run directly the setup.exe in acadfeui directory.

If it doesn't work, may consider to have a diferent distribution (I'm working in Ubuntu, and doesn't have any problem), becouse I can't help with Gentoo (sorry ☹️ )
