Install fails

I'm using ArchLinux 2.4.24 and cxoffice 2.0 ...

The setup.exe program will run, show the opening menu and install IE 6.0 (required by AutoCAD 2004) but will not install the program. Two dialog boxes flash on and off the screen before they can be read.

Is it there a setting to hold the dialog boxes on the screen so they can be read?

I wondered if cxOffice's default Windows "Version" = "win98" might be an issue (AutoCAD 2004 requires WinNT4 or higher OS) but changing it to "nt40" has no obvious effect.

AutoCAD works with no problems under a real installation of windows 98. This setting is not the problem. If you can't get it to install, try creating a new user, thus equivalent to a separate 'fake_windows' drive, then installing it in that, using the default settings. A problem I encountered was an issue with Microsoft Data Access Components, though this was remedied in the reinstall. I am going to try in winXP mode.

Also, I am using cxoffice 2.1.0, this may make a difference. Good luck with it.
