I have Atlas.ti set up already in Windows 7 on my boot camp partition.
I cannot install the program in any Crossover bottle. Atlas.ti will not actually install, you have to run the executable.
So
I found that I can copy the executable and run it in Crossover.
In Windows, Go to Program Files/Scientific Software and copy everything to the c_drive in your bottle (Bottles/WinXP/drive_c)
In Windows, Go to Program Data/Scientific Software and copy everything to the c_drive in your bottle.
Those two steps are "safe" for me; don't know if they are necessary.
In the Atlasti folder in the Program Data/Scientific Software folder, copy and paste Atlas.ini to the Scientific Software/Atlasti/Program folder. Go back to this folder.
Go to the UserDatabase folder and copy and paste HERMENCR.HDB to the same folder as the ini file above.
You have to go to Crossover|Programs|Run Command to get to the executable in your bottle.
The idea is to move all the files Atlas.ti complains about when you run the executable for the first time (and it crashes) to the Program subfolder of Program Files/Scientific Software/Atlasti.
I used a Windows Vista bottle and an XP one; they both seem to work.
I think I got everything.
I can't figure out how to transfer my projects to this new "bottle"; Atlas gives a consistent error
"Protection violation. Do you want to create and send an error report right now?" This may be because Atlas is trying to write to the drive and it doesn't know how (because it's not actually 'installed' in the bottle)..? Don't know, but at least I got it to run.
