Assetto Corsa crashes on launch (Intel Mac 2023)

Hi,

I'm trying to launch Assetto Corsa on Mac using crossover, but it crashes everytime I launch it. I have not managed to launch it successfully at any point.

I see that there is this thread describing the problem: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/forum/assetto-corsa?msg=249316

But it seems outdated and is locked. Is it now fixed?

Thanks!

Hi there,

How did you install Assetto Corsa? If you installed by searching for Assetto Corsa within CrossOver, I think that's expected to work based on ratings.

Best,
Meredith

Installing it with the crossover installer seems to have worked, and it's now working! From the loading prompts during the installation process, it looks like some of the .NET framework was installed?

It did not work, by installing it only with Steam.

Also for some reason, now the Steam library and store are all black (I don't mind this that much because I can simply see my games with the minimized window, but not working 100%). Weirdly enough, it did not do that before.

Ok, so I'm not too sure what happened, but, just in case someone else is in the same boat, I

  1. Installed steam through crossover
  2. installed AC through steam
  3. AC didn't want to open, so I deleted it
  4. I reinstalled AC, but this time through crossover directly. It kind of installed a bunch of .net stuff
  5. AC worked, but I noticed some weird things where it seemed like I had two Steam apps opened at the same time
  6. new problem: can't access the steam store or my library, which is annoying since I can't download my DLCs
  7. Uninstalled everything (including steam), and only installed AC through crossover.

Now everything works, including AC and the steam store and library
