21.0.0 CrossOver: AC runs

Awesome, it now runs with very little issues:
Framerate: 60-70 FPS on a 2017 i7 MacBook Pro
Logitec G27 works, FFB needs adjusting
Tree and Grass Textures have no working Alpha channel, appear as blocks
TV Replay cam needs Field of View Quality in the settings turned off

Will admit that "FFB needs adjusting" was overly optimistic, sorry

There is some centering force felt when in the wheel menu, but in the game itself there is little or no Force Feedback at all. Bummer.
Have Logitec Gaming Software (64 Bit Version) installed in the bottle, it installed tons of .dll and whatnot, but the profiler doesn't boot.

Compared to another bottle where I have LFS running it's inferior, LFS has some Force Feedback for whatever reason, it's not very strong but makes it at least possible to feel the slip angle of the car, which is completely absent in AC even though I turned that option up to 100%.

Really interesting.
Another missing link with MacOs gaming - wheels and ffb support.

Once upon a time Codeweavers ported iRacing to MacOs so…

Hi Stjepan!

Oh that's an interesting detail I haven't thought about 😀
Both Feral Interactive and Codeweavers might already have the solution for Mac Wine FFB.

Is there anyone besides me sucessfully running AC via CrossOver 21?

I've seen that blocky trees with no working alpha channel appear when people mod AC to run on DX10 instead of DX11 (when they have an old, non-DX11 capable graphics card).

So that makes me think: Is it possible that AC/CrossOver doesn't recognize my graphics card as DX11 capable or that I lack necessary graphics card drivers? My MBP has an AMD Radeon Pro 560 with 4GB

I saw that AMD offers a graphics card drivers package for Bootcamp Macs that have my card … but before I do something stupid I would like to know if it makes any sense installing them for CrossOver Wine use? Seems doubtful

Wow, I’ve been trying so hard to get Assetto Corsa to run. I have the windows 7 bottle running, installed steam and then assetto Corsa within that. Please tell us your tips to getting this thing launched. Much appreciated.

Hey man, I have the exact same macbook as you and I'm currently also downloading AC to play on mac. I scrolled through your other thread but it wasn't clear to me how you actually got it to work. So what are the steps I should follow? thanks in advance!!

EDIT: I got it to run, but I get a black screen when starting a race/ practice etc.
When I put off the Post processing effects, I do get normal and fluid graphics, but my trees are also looking 2D and blocky
Did you find a solution to that?

Hi, sorry for the very late reply

No, sadly no changes, still with the blocky trees here. Also with almost no force feedback.
Other than that its really cool to finally have AC on my MacBook Pro and to be able to try out all the available mods.

Changed to Mac Silicone and the blocky trees are now gone.
