I have Mac OS Snow Leopard running on a Mac Pro and purchased a registered version of Asset UPnP R3 to run as a server on an external drive. I downloaded the Asset UPnP version "For Windows XP, 2000 and Apple MAC (with Crossover MAC)" but after installation with the CrossOver Software Installer the application will not run.
After the Asset UPnP installer dialogue boxes say it has completed installation and I click "Finish," the CrossOver Software Installer keeps showing activity in the progress bar and (as instructed in your post) I click "Cancel". At that point there is an "Asset UPnP Configuration" box still visible, where I click "Advanced Settings"/"Edit" (there is no "More Options" button) and I then add music files in the upper left and click "OK". This should complete the installation, but CrossOver doesn't recognize or run the Asset UPnP application.
When I go to Bottle Manager and click the Bottle for Asset UPnP and go to Advanced/Open C Drive, I do see Asset-uPnP.exe and related application files appearing under Program Files/Illustrate/dBpoweramp/(which suggests the application was installed), but Asset UPnP does not appear anywhere in in the CrossOver Applications folder and no Helper Application icon is visible.
I tried running Asset-uPnP.exe from "Run" but got only an error message ("The command "/Users/charlesstarkey/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/New Asset/drive_c/Program Files/Illustrate/dBpoweramp/Asset-uPNP.exe" returned 1.") Please advise how I can run this application.
