All is good with latest Beta

I have been testing Artisteer on the latest beta release, and I gotta say performance is even better than before! In the past, the Templateer plugin often caused the application to crash. After a week of testing, I havent had a single crash and to boot, the app is running much faster and smoother. Not prepared to raise the medal yet, but it may be coming!

I apologize for poking this older topic, but Artisteer is the main reason I'm here and this is the only post on the topic I found open, so I'm hoping for some direction. I noticed that most of the good usage has been on Linux and not Mac, I'm on OSX Lion and own Artisteer from the old Windows days. I have an updated version and one older one. I downloaded a Free Trial of Crossover a few years ago, but had a problem with my ISP that kept us offline for over 6 weeks. So I haven't even tried CrossOver yet. Now I would need to buy it so I'm trying to find out if Artisteer can be/has been successfully run on Mac OSX 10.7.5 with Crossover and .NET?

Soon I'll be replacing my hard drive (again) and moving to OSX Yosemite (ugh). I have several WP themes that urgently need updating and I'm hoping to be able to open the old .artx files to work from but for now I just hope to find out if using CrossOver would allow me to run Artisteer given the OS I'm on. I did read the note about installing the .NET 3.5 framework first, thank you for that tip!

You should be able to download a fresh trial version of CrossOver, here:

 https://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover-mac/download/#cxmac

If you have any trouble doing that, please email our Support Team, ninjas@codeweavers.com.

I highly recommend that you try running it with CrossOver prior to purchasing and if you have trouble, feel free to ask our ninjas for help.

Thank you for this, I'll try it and hope to be buying it shortly. I thought my one time trial was wasted so I appreciate the chance to try it out!

Just for information >
I installed CrossOver 14.0.3 Free Trial on my MacAirbook with MacOSX 10.9.5.
Installation went fine, also the installation of Artisteer 4.2 and 4.3 in 2 different bottles
(Artisteer was the reason why I got CrossOver),
the installation program also chooses the right .net versions for Artisteer automatically.

But finally both Artisteer versions do not run stable.
Artisteer starts, but is hanging after a few clicks or crashes with error messages.

Is it all supposed to run under my MacVersion?
Could it be that there is a problem with access rights when the application tries to save changes?
Would you like to have any error logs or screenshots of error messages?

I'm in the same boat now. I was so happy to have been able to get Artisteer installed I quick bought Crossover so that I could continue using it and be able to activate Artisteer right away. It installed, I was able to open an old .artx, but it would not let me edit that file so I started to work on a new one. After the first save, it crashed. It has crashed on opening every time since that first try. My monitor menus show Artisteer's use of the CPU at 197%, how is that even possible? It has been a force quit on every try. I know people who are using it, so it can be done but who knows how? Just installing it was tricky enough.

I feel like I missed something somewhere, but have no idea where to look. No info at Artisteer and it is not a supported app here.

I am trying now for the second time to install Artisteer. The .NET framework installs fine and the application installs fine enough but it won't open, instead I get an error message box by winesp. I have uploaded the error message at this link. The message box won't let me read the details and it won't close the box.image

I have tried to run Artisteer 4.2 & 4.3 without success via Crossover v.14.on OS X 10.11.3. Installation appears to run without incident for both versions. Upon launching Artisteer, starting a new project, clicking a around a couple of time - it freezes. I would not mind upgrading to CO v.15 if I knew it would help. Alas, I appear to be stuck with running Artisteer via my Parallels VM.

As a side note:
Mac Pro
2 x 3.33 (6 cores each)
64 GB 1333 MHz Memory

i have try Crossover 15.0.1 on ubuntu 14.04 LTS with Artisteer.4.3.0.60745
works all but export function to joomla, drupal and wordpress not work
and the program return an error code 701 (request program access to internet)
some ideas?
Thanks
