computer name (mac)

Hi there,
can anyone tell me whats the computer name that crossover creates?
and if I can find it from somewhere please give detailed instructions...I am bit stupid ;)
Thanks in advance

It uses your Computer's hostname. OSX prefers a DHCP-provided hostname. If your DHCP server doesn't provide one, the name set in system settings->sharing is used. You can print your hostname in a terminal with the command "hostname". You can temporarily set your hostname until the next reboot with "sudo hostname <new hostname>".

I assume since you asked this question in the ArcGIS 10 thread, you're trying to get ArcGIS to work? I'm also working on this. Have you had any luck? I've gotten to the point where I can launch and work with ArcGIS Administrator, and I can license the product with a single use license, but when I launch ArcMap, the splash screen hangs on "Initializing Application." Soon I will look more closely into debugging with Crossover to see where the problem is. With enough digging, who knows? Maybe I don't need a VM anymore for Arc.

hi Phillip,

any updates?
