Anno 1404 with patch 1.3

If you want to install Venice to an existing Anno 1404 install that has already been patched to 1.3, the installer will quit and prompt you to manually install patch 1.2. Manually patching to 1.2 will fail too, because you already have 1.3. Thus, I developed this little workaround:

  1. Copy all files from the DVD/Image to your Hard Drive, f.ex. create a folder "Venice" on your Desktop and drag all files in there.
  2. Navigate to your folder, and copy the "autorun.exe".
  3. Navigate to "patch_1.2"
  4. Rename "Anno1404_Patch_1.2.exe" to "Anno1404_Patch_1.2_Original.exe"
  5. Paste the "autorun.exe"
  6. Rename the "autorun.exe" to "Anno1404_Patch_1.2.exe"
  7. Install the addon.

The installer will give you an error "autorun.ini", but will continue with the installation.
Remember to install patch 1.3 again after installing the addon.

Worked great. Thx for the tipp

Hey,

how did you patch it? And how did you install Venice?
The setup always says that there would be no Anno 1404 installed.

Please help!
Best wishes
