Looks like Funcom made some changes to the database which broke the old AnarchyPatcher.exe hack. A quick workaround is to use a virtual machine such as Virtualbox, VMWare or Parallels to boot into Windows and run the patcher. There is a better workaround for linux users using IEs4Linux, but I couldn't get it working on OS X. However, the IEs4Linux FAQ says that it works on OS X. shrug
