Spinning Pointer Icon annoyance

Very annoying feature when reading technical books, or any book where you bounce around. If you go forward, then backward, there is a constantly spinning pointer icon, normally associated with an application being Busy. To get rid I have to click on sync to furthest page, select No in the popup. Is there any way to disable this behavior?

Found one solution. Open Tool>Options, select Annotations, and uncheck Annotations Backup, which prevents the attempt to upload last page to Amazon.

This was only a partial solution. The pointer with spinning icon still occurs and have to click on the "sync to furthest" again.
