Gamersgate version fails to install (13.0.1)

After starting the gamersgate installer, the program quits and then takes me to the atari support website. It strangely doesnt give me any error messages or anything. Could this be because of secureROM copy protection? I thought that that was mostly working now, but are there a few cases where it wont work?
