I followed crispy's instructions in the other thread & I got the issue with the intros & black screen but instead of upside down intros, I just get a black screen throughout. At one point, the screen shows a jumbled mess of random images thrown together. I've followed the instructions on how to fix this issue in the Tips & Tricks but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I don't know if this will help, but when I get black screens, I'll mess with the graphics settings. Open Crossover Games. Go to 'Manage Bottles' on the welcome screen (or 'Manage Bottles' on the 'Configure' tab of the menu. Go to the bottle with AVP2. Click the 'Control Panel' tab. Click 'Wine Configuration' and click 'Launch Selected Item'. Go to the 'Graphics' tab. I've got 'Vertex Shader Support' set to 'Hardware' and the box for 'Allow Pixel Shader' is checked. When I have graphics trouble, I try changing these settings one at a time. Are you running in windowed mode? I am. Try checking the box for 'Emulate a virtual desktop'. Let me know if these work. If not, try going to Programs and Run Command. Select your bottle and run the exe (check the box for the log). Look at the log. Sometimes you might catch something that stands out (like I did with FBO).

Great, it works now! I didn't know of the 'Emulate virtual desktop' function before. I played around with that & the graphics settings & it didn't work at first (I set the Vertex Shader Support to 'none' & left Allow Pixel Shader checked & vice versa but none worked until I had both of them enabled again as it first were & for some reason it worked).

Also, I forgot to mention that I tried installing AvP2:Primal Hunt as well & that one worked flawlessly (except for that mouse issue, of course) & could even run in fullscreen. Thanks!

P.S. - Is it possible to increase the window size? It always resets to a smaller size whenever I launch the game.

When I first click the AVP2 icon, I get a screen that says 'Play', 'Stand Alone Server', 'Display', 'Options' and 'Quit' (see the first screenshot in the screenshots tab). Under 'Display' you can choose your display options. If the desktop size under Emulate Virtual Desktop is automatically resizing, this may do the trick. Try that.

I missed that one before, thanks! Is there any fix to the mouse issue? I've noticed that the mouse choppiness has to do with the graphic intensity. Setting a higher resolution & when a lot of action is going on for example, makes the mouse choppier. Not sure if the mouse smoothing in the mouse controls settings in the game makes a difference but I have it turned up to the max anyway.

I haven't quite figured out the mouse issues yet. I might first try the checkbox in the graphics tab of the wine configuration that has something to do with the mouse not leaving the window. After that I might go to regedit and mess with the mousewarpoverride settings in hkey, but if I find a solution, I'll let you know.
