Hi, I've recently purchased Aion, because I noticed it had a silver medal. Now I installed the game, and everything went fine, until I wanted to start it. Every time I click on the Aion icon, it appears, then dissapears again a second later. The same thing happens if I click on the NCsoft launcher. Help me please?

hi pretty much your problem is the installer doesn't work properly in Linux so using the launcher provided wont work, the way to run this is in both tips and tricks located at near the forum button and in the how-to in the forums. after trying these methods provided and you still have no luck post again here with whats happening.

Dablack, is there a possibility to chat with you, so you can guide me through it, please? Because I don't get all the code stuff in tips&tricks, so I seriously need some personal help.

sorry i didn't reply sooner, i have been a little busy. as for how to do it. its been a while for me and may take a few hours for me to remember how i did everything. however the good news is that im available in a number of different ways.

I don't actually use mac at all so if i help its from linux, would appreciate anyone who uses mac for any help.

Some hints for Mac vs. Linux differences:

• The bottle's WINEPREFIX is in ~/Library/Application\ Support/CrossOver\ Games/Bottles/<bottle name>

• A normal shell isn't configured sufficiently to access CrossOver's command-line tools. That's largely due to the fact that X11 isn't the normal windowing system on a Mac and, further, CrossOver uses a custom X11. So, in order to get a properly-configured shell, one should select Run Command from the Programs menu, select the appropriate bottle from the pop-up menu in the dialog, toggle open the Debug Options section of the dialog, and click the Open Shell button. That will open a new window in Terminal and issue a bunch of commands to configure it. Among other things, it will add CrossOver's 'bin' directory to the PATH, so the appropriate 'wine' is found.

• unrar is not installed by default. It can be installed using MacPorts and maybe Fink. There are probably pre-built binaries available from somewhere, which would avoid the complication of installing Xcode and either of those package systems, but I don't know where.

I have a windows computer with Aion installed on it but the computer is so old and the hardware is really out of date that I can't play Aion on it smoothly so I am trying to play it on my mac using CrossOver Games. Is there a way i can just transfer my fully updated version to this computer and have it run well? Ive gotten so far in the process but I'm getting the "Path Not Found" error and I don't understand the post made in Tips and Tricks on how to fix it at all.

I'm new to macs - I just bought crossover games latest version because I heard that it would run Aion, however I cannot seem to get it to work at all. After seeing the above posts I've only become more confused - please, if anyone could help me with a step by step process to get Aion running I would really really appreciate it.
