Hi - I've installed Age of wonders 4 like crossover suggests with crossover 24.0 . Windows 10 64bit, Installation over Steam. I'm using D3DMetal. The game starts completely normal but keeps crashing hard after 3-5 minutes. This happens while playing a game or while being in the menus (just starting the game and waiting for the crash). I've tried unsing msync or esync or high resolution mode but this changes nothing. It happens ingame with all graphics turned to lowest settings or when everything is set to better quality. I turned off all DLC but this doesnt help either. Before almost every crash there is some crackling noise.

Has anybody any idea, what could stabilize the game under crossover? Any help wound be great.

I'm using a MacBook Pro 16", M1 Max, 32 GB Ram

Hey, I have the same problem and also on M1 Max 32Gb. Haven't found a solution, but for what it's worth, it was working before. I believe before "Golem update" it was working and I was lucky enough to enjoy the game a bit. However, I can't verify that it was because of the update, since the game was updated and OS/Crossover (or even both) were updated as well. And only after that it started crashing. Perhaps, it's worth playing with different versions of the Crossover/AoW4, not sure whether it's possible to choose versions though.

Hello, I have the same issue, giving me the "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): mono-io-layer-error (30965760)" error. I tested this with the latest version. The last working version that I know is the v1.002.003.77876 version. Tested on CrossOver 24+ M1 Pro 16 GB.

I managed to run it perfectly smoothly through Whisky with D3DMetal with Advertise AVX on!
