Getting disk has to sections error on install using cp4.

Using Crossover Games 9.1.0 and the Cp4 getting the following message at the beginning of install:
This disk contains two sections, one for Mac and one for Windows. In order for CrossOver to use this disk it must be mounted so that the Windows portion is visible.

To make this change, remount as root with this command:
mount -t udf -o users,ro,unhide,uid=501 /dev/cdrom "/Users/username/Desktop/AOM_D1"

Telling it to skip finishes all installs but will not run keep getting a debug error.

The DVD shouldn´t contain a Mac partition, because it is for Windows only.

1: Please check if the file "Dirapi.dll" is present on your DVD (Path: AOM_D1/Dirapi.dll ) (UDF Check in the C4P).
All files and folders on the DVD are:

AOM
AOMX
Autorun.exe
AUTORUN.INF
Dirapi.dll
Iml32.dll
Main.dxr
Manual
Proj.dll
Readme.txt

2: To check if you have the Gold edition DVD, read the Readme.txt (Path: AOM_D1/Readme.txt)

It should look like this:

Age of Mythology - DVD version
December 2006

This DVD version contains the latest patches :
- 1.10 for Age of Mythology
- 1.03 for Titans expansion

Any other patch available on the internet was made for CD versions, and is incompatible with this DVD version.

If these 2 match your DVD, try to redownload Crossover Games and the C4P.

Edit:
You can try and install for yourself; install the "Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Redistributable" in the Category "Runtime Support Components" in the CrossOver Software Installer. Then install AoM from DVD like you would do usually ( AOM_D1/Autorun.exe )

I experience the same issue as Sam.

I tried to execute the proposed command (mount...) but will however get an error message (option does not exist).

My DVD shows quite some differences with what you expect (it's a french DVD) : no dirapi.dll, and not these directories.

I used the CP4 file to install Visual C++, and then did a manual installation. On first run it would ask me to disable the debugger, next runs it would simply crash.

Any idea on how I could fix this ?

What OS do you use?
I can´t reproduce these errors on Mac OS X 10.6.4 with CX Games 9.1. (I will try it on Ubuntu 10.04.1, too, if that helps you)

@ Marc:(general tip) Check the readme file on your disc. if it does not say something like "patches on the internet are incompatible with this product", try to patch it before running. Even on native windows, games will not always run without being patched before.

btw the Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Redistributable can be installed without the C4P; it can be found in the Runtime Support Components category of the CrossOver Software Installer.

In similar cases, this was solved by a crack, but since the latest official patch should remove the CD/DVD-Check (the crack does nothing more), i suggest you to patch it.

Yep, I understood, as I had the CP4 at hand I did it that way.
I have a MacBook Pro 2009, OS 10.6.4, CrossOver 9.1.0.
Tried to patch, unsure it really did as the application told be my software was up to date quite (too ?) quickly.
It still crashes when launched.
