All,

I installed AOM and the Titans expansion into a Windows XP bottle with no issues. When I attempt to run either AOM or the Titans, however, I receive the following error message -

"Please insert the Age of Mythology: The Titans CD-ROM, select OK, and restart the game."

Even though the appropriate CD-ROM is already in the drive. What apparently is happening is when the bottle "boots" it is not mounting the CD-ROM before the game checks for its existence. What I would like to do is configure the bottle so that it mounts/maps to an iso copy of the CD-ROM on boot thereby avoiding the need to always have the physical CD.

So, two questions -

1) How do I avoid the error, and, for someone who is very technical -

2) How do I avoid always having to have my physical copy of the application CD on hand.

Many Windows games with physical CD copy protection do not work properly under CrossOver without modification (https://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/mac/faq/cxgamesdrm). However, you can find no-cd patches for most games using a search engine. Replacing the aom.exe file with the correct patched file should allow you to play the game.
