getting it running

Initially I was able to start the game. Got menu screen (single/multiplayer, options) of the game normally, but once starting an actual single player game I got an error about missing files.

I'm not sure which one of these helped:

  • win 7 bottle (win XP shouldn't be support by HD as of december)
  • xact engine 2010
  • directx 9 for modern games

I also installed ie7 just for kicks (maybe helps the startup screen?). Anyways everything is working OK now.
