AOE II DE - Steamwebhelper is not responding

Running Macbook Air 15" Sonoma 14.2 Beta (23C5047e). Since the recent mac update, I now receives this error message when loading AOE II DE.

Steamwebhelper, a critical Steam component, is not responding. The Steam UI will not be usable. Click here for more information.!
