Installed from retail disks on a plain XP bottle with DirectX (modern). No glitches with installer or patcher, except that the patcher jerked back and forth when I tried to move it. It's easier to move if you grab the window below the title bar, for some reason.
The login screen also looked fine, but the graphics inside game were pretty bad. Characters were visible through solid objects. You could clearly see the distant terrain missing on Low graphics settings, and choosing Medium settings caused the game to crash.
FPS was very low outdoors, but indoors it could actually be fairly good. I guess in theory you could play the game, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to. I'd rank it "Known Not To Work".
