I have tried to install this numerous times in numerous bottle types and configurations. I always get stuck at the Serial Number authentication, with an error of "Invalid Serial Number".
I have verified that the Serial Number in question is good, both from my IT dept and from a Virtual Box install.

This is just a hunch, but have you tried install Internet Explorer into the
same bottle? The online negotiation/registration might need as much to get the
job done (many games are like this)....
