CX Office 3.0.0

The previously mentioned install and run procedure seems to work for 3.0:

When installing an unsupported application, change the 'Windows version for this application' to 'Windows Millenium'. Complete the install. Open your favorite text editor, point it at ~/.cxoffice/dotwine/config and add

[AppDefaults\\AcroRd32.exe\\Version]
"Windows" = "win2k"

This was tested on Adobe 6.0.1. The icons are still messed up, but otherwise appears to handle basic PDF opening and viewing without issue.

Why did you choose Win ME as "Windows version for this application"? I chose Win 2k and it worked. (And I didn't had to fiddle around with ~/.cxoffice/dotwine/config)

I had problems getting it to work with Win 2k (for some reason) and the method above did work. Are you trying with 3.0.1 now?

Mike

Yes, using 3.0.1 under Fedora Core 2.

My original testing was done with 3.0.0. Maybe I was off my rocker or maybe something changed from 3.0.0 -> 3.0.1

I'm using FC2 with 3.0.1 as well. However, I had to use Win ME to get it to install. I had issues when using W2K.
