It won't help those needing movie support, but for the others it may help:
There is now a beta version of AR 7. One can register for the Reader at
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
It looks niftier than 5.0, but is still a bit buggy.

And as far as I understand, they already have enough testers, so they don't accept new ones anymore. But yes, as well as it is unbeliveable bloated, it basically works.
