Adobe Photoshop CS Forum

With CXOffice version 4.0! Just install it as an unsupported app (using XP as the OS), and then use the following command-line to start it:

~/cxoffice/bin/wine --winver winxp --workdir "C://Program Files//Adobe//Photoshop CS" --check --cx-app "C://Program Files//Adobe//Photoshop CS//Photoshop.exe"

The installer doesn't seem to set up menu entries and file associations 100% right, and the application has given me an inexplicable error or two, but it mostly works. I'd give it a bronze medal right now!

I correct myself. After using it for a day, I've reached the conclusion that the "inexplicable application errors" are too frequent and in too many critical functions to get any serious work done. If you're lucky, you can open, edit, and save one image, but repeat that a few times and you'll run into trouble.

Oh well. Bronze medal nomination withdrawn :(

After some testing with different versions of CrossOver Office, I have found that Photoshop CS will generally give a kernel failure error durring the install. If the install finishes successfully, well you just about wrapped it up.
