Adobe FrameMaker 7.0 Forum

There's an issue in the 6.0.0 release with all the fonts disappearing the second (and all subsequent) run of Framemaker 7.0. Codeweavers is aware of it. To get it to work, you can delete a .ini file that happens to let initialize correctly. The path below is for Framemaker installed in a "win98" bottle for a user install - you'll have to modify appropriately if your setup is different

~/.cxoffice/win98/drive_c/windows/profiles/crossover/Application\ Data/Adobe/FrameMaker/7.0/maker.ini

I've got a script file that deletes it that I execute before running FM. Good luck.

I am interested in using Codeweavers to run Framemaker 7.0 on Mac Intel. I mostly write letters and short briefs for work. Do you recommend I install in "win98" bottle, any other ideas? Do you think it is worthwhile? Etc. Thanks for any info / help you can give me.

Framemaker 7.1 is one of our supported apps, and it should go in a win98 bottle. I don't have a lot of experience, but I vaguely recall that Framemaker 7.0 is actually substantially different under the hood and may not work. On the other hand, we give it a Bronze rating and the advocate rates it Gold. So, what do I know. 😉

Give it a try and find out. You can use the CrossOver trial if you haven't already purchased.
